Veterinary Technician Manager - Weatherford, Texas
Large 25-doctor equine practice located in Weatherford, Texas has an immediate opening for a Veterinary Technician Manager (Vet Tech Manager) to supervise a large staff of veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants.
Equine Sports Medicine & Surgery, Weatherford Division (ESMS) is a full service referral hospital specializing in equine lameness, surgery, internal medicine, emergency & critical care, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, acupuncture, chiropractics, and reproduction. We utilize the latest technology including digital radiology, ultrasound, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, extracorporeal shockwave, video endoscopy, gas anesthesia, and a full service veterinary reference lab.
The Vet. Tech. Manager will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising a top quality team of veterinary technicians and assistants with a wide range of duties including: ambulatory, outpatient, ICU, hyperbaric medicine, surgery, and anesthesia.
The successful candidate must possess excellent communications skills, a positive can-do attitude, excellent organizational skills and knowledge of the daily operation and management of an equine referral hospital. Business and Human Resources course work/experience is a definite plus.
Qualifications: We seek a team-oriented individual interested in professional development. An RVT or equivalent with at least 4 years experience in an equine hospital is required. We offer very competitive wages, benefits, paid CE, and great advancement potential.

Racetrack Veterinary Technician - Sunland Park, New Mexico
Equine Sports Medicine & Surgery, Race Horse Division, PLLC (“ESMS”) has an immediate opportunity for a full-time veterinary technician looking to jumpstart their career in the exciting world of equine racetrack medicine. We are seeking a veterinary technician to join our team of equine racetrack veterinarians in New Mexico. This position is based in Sunland Park, New Mexico, but will also travel and work the horseracing meets in Ruidoso Downs and Zia Park in Hobbs, New Mexico.
ESMS is a large multiple-veterinarian equine racetrack practice providing veterinary services at horseracing tracks in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Iowa and Florida. We utilize the latest technologies including digital radiology, ultrasound, extracorporeal shockwave therapy, etc., and work on some of the finest Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred race horses in the world.
ESMS racetrack veterinary technicians assist veterinarians with medical treatments, radiographs, dentistry, laboratory, diagnostics, record keeping, data entry, reordering & restocking inventory, maintaining vehicles & equipment, etc.
Qualifications: We seek a team-oriented individual with good horsemanship skills and a strong work ethic, having worked with horses a minimum of one year. RVT or veterinary technician experience is preferred but not required. Racetrack experience is a plus.
Compensation: We offer excellent wages and benefits package, including insurance, 401k, paid CE, and great advancement potential. This position is based in Sunland Park, New Mexico, but will require travel and extended stays at other racetrack locations. ESMS will provide a housing allowance or accommodations when working away from Sunland Park.
